Coalition for Hip Hop Clarity

Peace Brothers and Sisters

I believe that we need a task force to address the
current misinformation being spread about Hip Hop in
the context of the Don Imus aftermath. So, I have put
up a youtube.come site:
http://www.youtube.com/group/chhc

Activists will be able to upload videos and web
cam/cell phone comments and post news clips in the
discussion section about what they have done to make
Hip Hop better.

And I am calling for a Coalition for Hip Hop Clarity
(CHHC)to dispel the lies that the media is spreading
that somehow artists like Snoop Dog and 50 Cent are
totally responsible for not only the Imus "nappy
headed hos" comments but the historical disrespect of
the Black community.

Under the CHHC, activists who have been involved in
trying to improve Hip hop over the years will have a
platform to dispel the myth that we have not been
responsive to the issue. We must also dispel the myth
that only one "leader" was involved in getting Imus
off of the air when, indeed, it was the grassroots
underground that really made it happen. We must also
expose the corporate executives who are really behind
the negativity in Hip Hop.

I don't want this to be a debate forum so I am only
asking Brothers and Sisters who have actually "done"
something (no matter how big or small) to post as we
are gathering evidence to dispute the claim that we
have not taken responsibility for correcting the
corporate promotion of Hip Hop negativity.

Please note, that complaining about what other folks
have "not" done is not the same as doing something...

So, I hope that some of you will participate.
