DOPE album.
Banging album. Love Flaming Swords, Illusions (Masta Killa's verse is SICK!), Collaboration 98 (I fucking love Tru Masters verse on this) -
"Yo, when you least expect is when we attack, in fact
Your format, is not yet suitable for combat
Still dissident factions within the Kingdom
Campaign desperate attempts to take your freedoms
Emphatically, wack strategy, don't impress me
Impulsiveness'll only bring you tragedy, test me
Descent to the essence quickly, niggaz strictly flip
Fuckin with this royal assembly, the Sunz of Man
Summon me, Chief Administrator of the Law
True Master in this hardcore Art of War
I explore the depths on conflict and with no pretense
Found the best strategy the most impressive defense
So when you rush to attack, it be I to crush your force
And exhaust your whole supply
Don't send for reinforcements, give orders for men to maintain
They respective borders, or it's a God damn slaughter"
Not Promised Tomorrow, Intellectuals are quality tracks, although I fucking hate Shining star (Its produced by Wyclef Jean wat dya expect), not too mad on Israeli News either, but apart from them two, its a banger
4th is the best producer man i dont care, some of his shit is just maaaaad. Put it this way, no 4th no killarmy !!
The night the earth cried
cold
not promised tomorow
wu-renegades
in the city
allah sees everything
swinging swords
serving justice
These beats here are FIRE, no other producer including zig zag can match this guys production, eats true master and mathematics for dinner, hes absoloute !!
All the above producers are fire though !
Ill production
Ill lyrics = ill album
This album is fire, beginning to end.
I still pump this almost daily.
"Sunshine plays a major part in the daytime. Peace to mankind, Ghostface carries a black nine.......Nigga."
i havent given this a good listen in a while...gonna go on a Sunz binge for a couple days n then type a review cuz the consensus in this thread is in love with this joint..i had always skipped alotta tracks but..ill start diggin deeper into it..
Well, I would give it a 6/10, considering what else came out around this time.
A few classic joints such as shining star and the U-god track.
I think this is Sunz Of Man's best work.
I love this album. I'm probably one of the only people that actually has it on vinyl and cd.
Personally, I think Method Man took best verse on "Next Up" though.
The production was great most of the way through too.
And yes, 60 Sec. Assassin sounds like he has marbles in his mouth.
"Die before you die."-Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh)
I didn't have this album till last week,I bought it off ebay. I have only listened to it once all the way through,I have to say its a bit boring to me so far.I am sure it will grow on me,but I still like their older material better, like most the songs on the "Elements" compilation. Supreme's production is much darker and more up beat on their early songs.
"Robbed of natural abilities
In death they now seek tranquility
In a confused state of mind
Extending agony,they must be blind"

Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.
