The Fertile Crescent was settled upon because major crops were already wildly cultivated with high yields before people even began to cultivate. I guess its debatable if those settlers were a civilization themselves.
the thread is NOT about the "fertile crescent" it's about earlier civilizations which came before. many people still "believe" that this area called the "fertile crescent" was the "beginning" or "first" civilization or start of humanity which is incorrect.

the size of a settlement doesn't determine if it's a civilization. and before this area was settled, there were settlements in other areas.

eskimoes don't grow food like that yet, they settled in the cold north.

i never said the "fertile crescent" wasn't settled. and what place on this planet didn't have vegetation growing?
