Whats the punishment for non-performance enhancing drugs in American sport? Is there even a punishment?

Guy here is looking at being deregistered, missed 3 quaters of last season (never failed a drug test either).

Do you guys even test for the shit?

Your medal or honors get taken away, You can never ever compete in national or world events again...and of course the bad publicity.

They test for all drugs, unfortunately, there are quick flush available to these athletes.

What happens when you foreigners get caught? Don't they get punished in the same manner?

You serious, just for recreational drugs like weed? Damn, thats harsh as.

We just had a rule come in about recreational drugs the last couple of years really, and first guy just got kicked out of the AFL (Australian Footy). Last year he got caught and missed out on 3 quaters of the season, had to fly to America to go to rehab in LA, all types of shit.

Champion player too, won the Grand Final, won the highest individual award available and just got booted out of the league for taking drugs, and being friends with "underworld figures".

Then over the other side of Australia, 7 guys from the same team got caught for taking drugs (High profile guys too) and nothing happened to them.

We have a "3 strike" policy, and the players don't even get named till the third strike. The bloke who just got kicked out had never even failed a drug test, just got arrested yesterday.. Feel for him, he got clean then his best mate over dosed, seems to have sent him back to drugs.

He does have a fuckwit tattoo across his stomach though, he probably deserved it for that

Just about any drugs test failure in football (soccer) in Europe results in nearl a year ban. A second failure would most likely lead to a lifetime ban.

Adrian Mutu the Romanian international, tested positive for cocaine while at Chelsea and got a 7 month ban and was fired by the club. Performance enhancing drugs bring even stronger penalties.

Well you know for baseball, they are just a bit more lenient.. and football I don't think they test (steriods inparticular) at all. Unfortunately half the league would be gone. What happens here is that they have random testing and they warn the players previous to the test so that they have sufficient time to flush. Its messed up but true...

More of the weed smoker are in the NBA.... Thats why we does have a basketball era like we did in the 80's and early 90's.... half these character suck off, get paid alot to suck hard... pisses me right off.
