RZA's definitely not just on two tracks.
You should treat 'reviews' or reports from listening sessions with a lot of doubt - they're basically a load of people in a room being played the album once (so no chance to rewind tracks, catch dope verse again, listen to the production in detail).
Most of the lyric quotes in the Spin report are wrong too (i.e. Rae's lyrics on 'Life Changes' are "Word to my son he gon' remember you/Rubbing on his statue in his lab that resemble you/And what it meant to Wu..." and not "rubbing a statue on his lap" which sounds a more like some masturbation ritual than a tribute to Dirt Dog!
It's definitely the confirmed tracklist though (for the US version).
^^ so the US only has 14 tracks?
you know 100% of the problems coming from this album are the fact that for the first time (due to internet) we have and eye into everything that goes on and can see things about wu that were before inattainable.
for example, the ghost and rae thing, i can bet money this happens with every album cause you always hear about fighting and arguing while they're recording but now we can see it
and the "tracklists" and 40 versions of each song. This isn't anything new, Rza doesn't decided the tracklist until the last minute so all these tracks you've been hearing are just candidates, just like all the other Wu projects, that's why they sometimes have problems with tracklists that don't match what it says on the back.
It's also true that the longer he holds on to a track the more he changes it, that why there's so many versions of each track, and that's why all the Wu members will tell you they've never heard the album. I bet ghost didn't hear ironman until it was finished.
hell even titles, i wouldn't be suprised if this album comes out and isn't called 8 diagrams
ironman was supposed to be supreme clientele, onlybuilt4cubanlinx was supposed to be onlybuilt4cubanlinkniggas, wu-forever was supposed to be called 8 diagrams, nigga please was supposed to be the black man is god, 6 feet deep was supposed to be niggamortis
damn internet.

well that fucking sucks, that 16th chamber song better be on the u.s. version somewhere, atleast as a hidden track or some shit
As the guy above said, oops. You're takin the piss out of someone cos the European reviewer doesn't know shit about Wu, when it's a review from an American magazine.
The European review is from a UK magazine called Hip-Hop Connection, and is the longest running hip-hop magazine in the world. Reckon they pretty much know what they're talkin about...
Everyone moaning about the Euro version having extra tracks, there's a simple solution: get it imported. I have to order loads of music from the US to be sent to London, so why don;t you all just do the same. It means paying about $4 extra at most.

Yea, but then we don't get to hear it on release date. Also, it's just a matter of principal. Americans are always getting dicked over with these bonus tracks, sometimes even bonus discs. (Although it seems like this time we're getting a bonus disc, and I dunno if Europe is.) And a lot of times the CD comes out in Europe first, too, like for instance 8 Diagrams is coming out on the 10th, while in America it comes out on the 11th.
Anyway, it's not a big deal, I'll just download the bonus tracks. But basically I'm still bitter from a decade ago when you couldn't just download the bonus tracks, and it was more difficult or expensive (at least as far as I knew then) to get the imported versions. There was so much music that we were missing out on, and by American bands, no less.
Trust me, we get it too, you just don't notice.
I guess I'm different also in that I couldn't really give a shit about getting it on release day. But if you order it from France or somewhere, given it's released earlier, you'd probably get it in time for the US release.

Plus the weak-ass exchange rates these days make it more expensive to import CDs.
I guess I should probably just move to England.
Not a bad idea!

^^ Vinyl buyers get shitted on a lot. It pisses me off that I miss out on the free dvds when I buy vinyl, especially given that vinyl costs more than cds!
