The album sounded like he hurried up and made in which he most likely did. Its no where near fishscale.

ILL buy the album on the 4th.
8 diagrams music wise on another level. this is one of the first wu albums that have musicality too meaning it can be duplicated and played instrumentally by a band yall motherfuckers don't understand how music needs to be accessable to others through not just lyrics but the sound and the sound is five years ahead of what cats are doing right now prolly even 10 years ahead beat wise i give RZA allot credit and the generals don't see what RZA see's because they don't make beats nah mean theres a different mind set when your producing a beat son you go through different mental atmospheres and this what RZA did with the Afro Samurai sound track which was almost a prelude to 8 Diagrams i bet yall ain't even peep the afro and kill bill samples in there
killa lipstick sample was also used on the outro to word..life (O.C.)
got my copy of this yesterday at the cop shop. This is a really good album. Only track I did not like is the one with wigs.
pretty good especially considering how much time ghosts making these albums in. Can't say if its better than 8d. This is better than more fish, possibly better than fishscale but i'd say about the same, i'd give it like a 8 out of 10
I think the song "walk around" is the best song on the album.
rec room is dope but the rest aint
obviously you never heard the El Michels Affair shit where they recreate like 10 CLASSIC wu songs with a 4-piece jazz ensemble... They managed to do it just fine with the older, grimier beats... rendering your argument worthless.
8D's beats =
i'm still trying to figure out how anyone likes the "Take It Back" beat... that shit is straight-up boring, what a waste of album space.
"A soldier of the darkness / Kidnap an emcee for a hostage"
- Madman (nka 9th Prince)
I was sort of let down by 8 Diagrams, so I put off listening to this for a long time
I'm about half-way through and good fucking god this album is fire
I'll edit this later when I've finished it
EDIT: just listened through it for the second time -
1) *skit*
2) Toney Sigel - 9/10 *should have been a Ghost solo; would've gotten 10/10. I love this beat
3) Yolanda's House - 8/10 *I really should have given this a lower score, but I can tell this will be a song that really grows on me
4) We Celebrate - 6/10 *this one I just didn't like
5) Walk Around - 10/10 *One of the best on the album
6) Yapp City - 10/10 *Ghost's verse is just insane and catapults this to 10/10 on it's strength alone
7) White Linen Affair - 9/10 *Toney won an oscar!
8) Supa GFK - 8/8 *another one that will need to grow on me
9) Rec-Room Therapy - 8.5/9 *Ghost's beat selection continues to impress me
10) The Prayer - *It might be a skit, but damn it's still good
11) I'll Die For You - 10/10 *was hoping for a song like this on here
12) Paisley Darts - 8.5/10 *not as impressed with it as some on here, but it's a good song
13) Shakey Dog Starring Lolita - 10/10 *going to take me a while to piece this together with the original Shakey Dog
14) *skit*
15) Killa Lipstick - 10/10 *aaah, I love this song
16) Slow Down - 10/10 *brilliant end to the album
this album has what Fishscale seemed to be missing that held it back from Classic status
