Ya, I was reading some book a while ago about how since we men do not go thru some type of initiation of sorts into manhood - we are kinda lost or something. Also, women already go thru initiation thru menstruation - that's when they know they are women (so women do not need artificial ceremonial initiation).
(Notice most secret societies or ceremonial stuff has men as members for that reason.)
Correspondingly, as the first video shows, the men also shed blood during the ritual.
In the second vid, 'it was a test of one's worthiness to take on adult roles'. I believe in our society we should have that.
To be a man these days - is mostly about material stuff, but women could have that too.

Realness
The idea is pretty common across a wide variety of cultures though that until you were ready to face these trials (which vary pretty widely) that you were never a man. Hence you sometimes had 30 year-old children in a tribe. People that were children their entire lives even.
Don't you think there are times when this still happens even to this day? People that are grown as far as age is concerned but have still never really grown up and accepted their responsibilities as an adult?

in my culture you're not considered a man until you're married.
then you're not considered a REAL man until you earn a chieftancy title, which are earned by showing you're the cultural ideal of 'successful' (educated, rich, have SEEDS, built a massive house in THE VILLAGE). Nothing is inherited.
but there's stipulations. Like if you're the first son you can't be a chief until your dad dies and some chieftancy titles are so powerful that your descendants can claim 'hollow versions' of them.
like my great grandpa was a G.O.D, so cause of him I can claim the Nnweze title, which means im the descendant of a stud and can't eat amongst the commoners, and have to hold food certain way but i don wanna claim it cause it's gay.
in nebraska you're not a man until you've skinned a coon
but i know what visions means, in amerikkka it seem the older you get the more shit you have to deal with and the less CLOAT you can have, whereas everywhere else you EARN YOUR MANHOOD and from their increase your FUCKING CLOAT.
i mean when you're 21you can drink. drreeep awhhsome
