    When you listen to a song like cracka jack and the content of it, do you take it like damn, this is the type of track i can’t bang out in my car without cringing a bit

    compared to his first album, nigga please sounded like a Parody album but was geniusly done

    Buddha Monk describes 'N**** please' as a 'party album' in his book on ODB. I think that's a good description. It's a party on a drugged out Rick James funk vibe. Not all the tracks are strong (at all) but together they create a sweaty electro funk atmosphere that makes you wonder just how high ODB was.

    honestly I think it was a struggle for ODB to record an album, whether it was his first one (look how long it took him) or his second one. being erratic and having a rather short attention span, coupled with the drama with heaux and drugs, didn't help much. love the guy though. RIP to ODB.

    This reminds me I should check out that Trials and Tribulations album again, the album that that one label put together with his verses when Dirt was in jail. I remember it not being good, but there's probably still some stuff on there that's worth rediscovering, like that track with Mack 10 that was mentioned in this thread.

    I don't really have any feelings of guilt about what I like, but what comes closest to what you're describing is probably whenever I listen to Cilvaringz. The dude just can't rap and sometimes it's so corny that it makes me cringe. Also, I really can't stand the dude.

    He is certainly a capable producer and has (or is featured on) a few dope cuts, such as
    * Tongue Fu (he ruined one of the best 4th Disciple beats ever - does anyone have an instrumental of that??)
    * You'll Never Know
    * A Muslim and a Jew (certainly one of his better verses; btw, gotta love the ironic way this track came out considering the intended actual message)
    * Weeping Tiger
    * Sheherazad

    Peace.

    The skit from ODB Trials and Tribulations album where Rusty is taking a dump.
    A Wu turd for all the Wu nerds.
    ODB going for a shit still has more flow and panache than Free Murda's entire discography.

    Fes Taylor's Feelin Myself only because of the hook. "No help, I did it by myself, hands in my pants, I'm just feeling myself." Somebody could run into you while you are pumping that and get it misconstrued, thinking you are listening to a song about a niggah spanking off.

    Lolz chippin n chop it n booty drop were fun songs. That whole album could b a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, cos tho I haven't heard it in probably over 10 years, I thought it was quite listenable.
