Default as i get older, i start to notice things like...

...hatred, envy, jealousy, snide remarks, two-tongueness amongst people.

    i'm talking about cold-hearted hate

    and arrogance

you could see it in people's eyes and in their facial features before they even speak

i think alot of people are also disabled mentally

when speaking to people, they seem to hear what they wanna hear

and things need to be repeated

they see what they wanna see (even though it is not there)

and do not see what is apparent

people like to talk about what they do not know about and act like they know

some people are compulsive liars and try to start rumours between people

might be a area thing as well. I've been on lunch brake and seen 80 year-old women ordering a beer with their lunch (and smile inside for it) Austin is just that kinda place. For the most part, very chill vibes as a city.

there isnt much more room for this kind of stuff

it is not a successful long-term approach to life

the problem is that these types of patterns appear to have benefits at the moments the decisions are being made -

    like rumors, for example -

when somebody starts a rumor, for a few moments they get to bask in the glory as the person who is breaking news

they have the attention of others

jealousy is a symptom of being unfulfilled with self

hatred is a symptom of ignorance
all the points have been made

    thanks guys

ya my city, Ottawa (Canada), has gotten the reputation as either the "rudest" or one of the rudest cities in Canada in the newspaper less that 2 years ago

people like to think (in my city) that they are so nice, but i disagree

    anyway im just ranting

but it is more than what has happened recently

ya people are empty inside and hate themselves and are ignorant leading to hatred of others

it seems that jealousy and envy and hatred plays a huge part in the interactions or lack of it in all kinds of relationships

ya it seems like some people just suck, so they wanna make someone else feel bad

i've noticed a tendency for people to adopt a sense of superiority based on material posessions

also condescension subtely hiding behind a mask of good-humor and friendliness

and judging based on physical attributes before even conversing with a person

I noticed in high school that no one can do anything alone.

People don't kno their neighbors like they used to in most places. Everybody is suspicious of everyone else.

Maybe its a product of technology making us more isolated, maybe its a product of integration...who knows.

    Its probably a combination.

And on top of that, probably more importantly is that AMericans and Canadians are very mobile people, always picking up and moving from place to place. Nobody really establishes roots anymore.

So everything is foreign and I think it kinda breeds this sort of social phobia or whatever you want to call it.

i didnt know that, i been to Ottawa a bunch, most people seemed pretty nice, but maybe it was a good day lol

but i agree with you diggy, as i move thru life, that shit has become more apparent to me. my opinion is that nobody wants to take there own self blame, and try to pawn it off on somebody else, to try to make themselves feel better or not have to deal with there problems.

there is a definite lack of responsibilty and self morales these days, and its hurting society
