Classic shit. Hard to believe it's been 25 years since it dropped.
"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth" (Rev. 3:15-16)
Gravediggaz >>>>>>>> 36 Chambers
I would say that the evolution of Wu Tang Clan, Gravediggaz and Onyx is the same transitioning from their debut to sophomore projects. On their first albums, they were just fresh off of the streets and going at the world with unadulterated rage, unbridled fury, ghetto frustration and anger aimed in no particular direction to polished, calm, cool, collected, and more self conscious and world weary on their second albums. Both their debuts and second albums have their pros and cons in various ways.
Well said! In the words of GFK, "36 Chambers was when they were babies on wax and [Forever] is grown men"
Re Gravediggaz yeah personally prefer "Pick Sickle and Shovel" which was so enlightened! Both DOPE in their own way; 1st is like being buried alive 2nd is the mental resurrection!

Another classic album. Lets not forget Prince Paul also made it possible.
